Jean Raines - This quilt contains 20 hand dyed and 6 commercial fabrics. The Burmis Tree is a 300 year old Limber Pine along the highway in the Crow's Nest Pass of Southern Alberta, Canada and is distorted by the extremely strong winds in the area. The locals claim it is the most photographed tree in the world. Fires ravaged the Pass and much of British Columbia in 2003, so this was the inspiration for the quilt.
