Getting Started Online

Julie Neu, Instructor

Julie Neu is a professional Internet strategist and site launch manager.  You will be able to take advantage of her experience and expertise as you build your Web presence.   You will define your goals and choose a Web site, blog, shared online store space, online photo album or membership in an online community.  If Web site is  your choice, you will decide what kind of site you want to build, register a domain name and select a host.  After learning about usability, accessibility, color and content, you will design your site and publicize your site launch.  If you decide to hire someone to create your site, this class will teach you the basics of site design and help you understand the terminology so you can communicate with your designer.

You will need a computer with Internet access and a Web browser.  If you are going to run a Web site, blog or photo album, you should know how to use your camera and the software that came with it.  Photo and graphics editing will NOT be covered in this class.
